Btw, Bai Ying’s title in the beaskin is ‘Duke’, instead of Duchess- you know, Duchess here is referred as the wife of the duke, yet the one who has the title is Bai Ying… Hmm the explanation… Maybe just kinda like Wangye (duke/prince) and wangfei (duchess/princess) – this one the one who has the original title is wangye, and the wife got her title after marriage. Different from princess and her fuma (prince consort). Yuege’s title on Asura race is Young Master, instead of Young Miss (Zhu Yu is the one being referred as Young Miss later). It has nothing to do with the gender, some people would be referred as Emperor – just like Sikong Yueyi later, even though she’s female.

This is so people won’t get confused why the title is usually used for male, like Yuege being referred as Young Master later, although her gender is obviously female.
